Adhesion Technology Terms
How printable film holds to a surface — micro-suction, vacuum cling, gecko-toe biomimetic adhesion, dot-pattern removable adhesive and the residue behaviour each one produces.
- WALLIZARD®
- WALLIZARD® is the registered English trademark of the FreePost® 壁虎贴 series. The name stands for “Wall Lizard” — 壁虎. The Chinese product name is 壁虎贴. The series uses SCITOP patented micro-cling and air-channel technology with a dot-pattern removable cling.
- FreePost® WALLIZARD®
- Gecko-Toe Adhesion
- SCITOP's patented cling technology for the FreePost® WALLIZARD® series (the name WALLIZARD® stands for “Wall Lizard”, 壁虎): micro-cling and air-channel construction with a gecko-toe inspired, non-static, dot-pattern removable cling. It applies dry and bubble-free to smooth surfaces such as glass, stainless steel and acrylic, repositions easily, and removes with zero residue even after long-term use.
- FreePost® WALLIZARD®
- Octopus Micro Cling
- SCITOP's patented Octopus™ cling: adhesive-free micropore negative-pressure hold. The film applies bubble-free, repositions easily, and leaves no residue in short-term indoor use on clean, smooth surfaces such as glass and painted metal. Not for acrylic displays; keep the cling side away from sunlight.
- FreePost® Octopus™
- Vacuum Suction Film
- A printable film that clings to glass and other smooth surfaces purely through vacuum force — no chemical adhesive, magnetism or static. Wet application with water is recommended so trapped water and air can be fully pressed out, giving a low-tack bond that removes cleanly with no residue at all, even after very long application periods. Used in the FreePost® Easy Cling™ series.
- FreePost® Easy Cling™
- Dot-Pattern Adhesive
- A removable adhesive applied in a discrete dot pattern rather than a continuous layer. The gaps between dots let air escape during application, giving a bubble-free finish without a squeegee professional, while the reduced adhesive contact area keeps the film cleanly removable for short-term indoor graphics. Used in the FreePost® Spider™ series.
- FreePost® Spider™
- Removable Adhesive
- A pressure-sensitive adhesive engineered with low, controlled peel strength (typically a few g/25mm) so the applied graphic can be peeled away intact without damaging the substrate or leaving residue, unlike permanent adhesives that bond aggressively over time. Removability is specified for a defined period and surface type.

- Strong Adhesive
- A continuous high-tack pressure-sensitive coat (ZST AC series typically 1000–1500 g/25mm peel) for graphics that must stay put on clean, flat surfaces. It is PVC-free on AC PET films and is not a low-tack removable cling; choose WALLIZARD®, Easy Cling™ or Spider™ when residue-free removal is required.
- FreePost® AC™
- Dry Application
- Installing a film without water: clean the surface, position the sheet, then squeegee from one narrow edge to the other so the film lies flat with no trapped air or internal stress. Used for WALLIZARD®, Octopus™, Spider™ and the AC series — water is not recommended.

- Wet Application
- Installing a film with a light water spray so it can be slid into position, then squeegeeing all water out from between the film and the surface (a liner sheet as a pad helps). Recommended for Easy Cling™ vacuum cling so leftover water does not form bubbles.
