Sentinel, a global leader in automated ink management solutions, announces that they will be exhibiting at the PRINTING United Expo 2026 from September 23-25 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Attendees are invited to Booth #N6450 to experience the iPro Ink Management System in action and discover how automating ink delivery eliminates one of the final remaining manual processes on an offset press.

As North America’s premier printing event, PRINTING United Expo brings the entire industry under one roof to explore the latest technologies shaping the future of print. Sentinel will showcase how smart ink automation modernises traditional offset workflows, giving pressrooms a direct path to higher efficiency and consistency without replacing existing equipment.

“PRINTING United is where printers come to explore practical ways to improve their operations,” said David Doucette, Director of Sales at Sentinel. “Whether you’re running a single press or a large production facility, seeing the iPro in person makes it easy to understand how automated ink management can reduce waste and help operators stay focused on what really drives productivity.”

How iPro automates ink delivery and cuts waste

Throughout the show, technology demonstrations will feature the Pinnacle Award-winning iPro system, which uses ultrasonic sensors to continuously monitor fountain ink levels and automatically dispense precise amounts where and when needed. Rather than manually refilling fountains throughout a shift, operators receive real-time alerts and can complete cartridge changes in 10 seconds or less.

The result is more than convenience. By maintaining a consistent ink bead throughout the run, the iPro reduces colour fluctuations, overfilling, spoilage, cleanup, and unnecessary ink waste. The system also provides detailed job reporting and tracks ink usage patterns over time, giving printers better data to streamline repeat jobs and tighten cost control.

“We designed the iPro to close the automation gap that exists in offset printing,” said Kevin McAnally, Director of Engineering at Sentinel. “When ink delivery becomes consistent and automated, operators can spend more time focused on print quality and production instead of manually managing ink. It’s a straightforward improvement that benefits the entire operation.”

Experience Sentinel in action at Booth #N6450 and discover how easy it is to eliminate manual ink handling on your offset floor.
